    1989 Original Pack of 100 Bank of Zambia 10 Kwacha Notes
    Offered for your consideration is an original pack of 100 Bank of Zambia 10 Kwacha notes issued in 1989, though the date is not printed on the notes. The front design features a portrait of President K. Karunda at the right, with a fish eagle in flight at the lower left. A multi-colored butterfly appears over the state arms at the center. The back design depicts a large multi-story building at the center, with a representation of the “Chainbreaker” statue to the left. In the lower left corner is a side view of a giraffe’s head, while a native carving appears at the right. The front is printed predominately in black, dark blue, and red-violet, with the aforementioned multi-colored butterfly at the center. The back is printed in a medium to dark blue ink. A watermark at left depicts President K. Karunda. This pack is enclosed in its original band bearing the imprint of
    “HARRISON & SONS LIMITED”
    and contains 100 notes between the serial numbers A/F 9584801 and A/F 9584900. Minor curling is noted at the corners of some of the notes, but all are technically uncirculated.
