  • Condition: An early 5" diameter Columbia wax cylinder. These are rare. There are spots on the cylinder so I am not sure it will play. Please read the description and look at the photographs carefully to judge the condition for yourself.

    Wax Cylinder- please read.
    Up for sale is an antique early 1900's Edison Records 5" diameter wax cylinder. It is 4.25" high. These are very rare. There is a hand written number on the top that says "C 7871". I can't gauranty what is exactly on the cylinder recording.
    There are many spots on the playing surface of the cylinder so it may not play. You should judge the condition based upon looking at the images I provided. I have not tested this.
    The cardboard container is in very good shape considering its age. A portion of the inside of the top of the lid was re-enforced at some point with a little glue.

    This item must be carefully packed to prevent the damage.
