EVERYWOMAN’S FAMILY CIRCLE MAGAZINE 1958 - A CHRISTMAS ADVENTURE IN DISNEYLAND!
For That Special Early Disneyland Collector!
EVERYWOMAN’s FAMILY CIRCLE December 1958 Magazine
A Christmas Adventure in Disneyland - 10 pages of Disneyland illustrations at Christmas with a wonderful poem by Walt Disney and his Staff of two young children dreaming of going to Disneyland for the first time
This Everywoman’s FAMILY CIRCLE December 1958 Magazine article paints a charming Christmas Eve Dream with a wonderful Christmas Day ending all in the form of a poem.
It Starts . . . “All aboard for Disneyland!” It’s Christmas Eve and the Stationmaster (that surprisingly resembles Captain Hook) welcomes two little dreamers John & Jane aboard the dreamland train. Captain Hook bows and says, “I hope you have a pleasant ride.” Then the train magically takes off and sails into the air! Below them they see Santa Claus and his sleigh being pulled by Reindeer. John says to Jane, “Do you suppose, he’s going to Disneyland?”
The train settles down on Main Street, U.S.A. “Disneyland”, cried John. “Just as the pictures show and where we have longed to go.” Dancing in the streets are the fair Sleeping Beauty and her Prince, Peter Pan, Wendy and old Gepetto waltzing with Pinocchio and all the Seven Dwarfs, even Grumpy!
Mr. Toad, driving an ancient motor car drives along and says, “Pip, pip to you! Come on, let’s hit the road”! Mr. Toad takes them to the old Emporium, the Ice Cream Store, the Candy Shoppe and the Corner Drug Store. They wished they could stay at the Penny Arcade but Toad said, “Fantasyland is straight ahead where Mr. Toad took them on Snow White’s Ride where the Scary Witch surprised them when she said, “Don’t be afraid my dears. It’s only me! Come join our little gathering around our Christmas Tree!"
Then on to the Golden Horseshoe Review with Slewfoot Sue and Pecos Bill. Toad’s car went out of hand and they skidded into Aventureland to see if even the Jungle River animals had their own Christmas Tree! It was a beautiful tapered tree composed of orchid blooms and lighted by fireflies! Mr. Toad said, I’m afraid we have run out of gas and fear you have missed your train.
When John and Jane awoke on Christmas morn, with eager eyes they sought the precious heap of Christmas gifts that Santa Claus had brought. And then they saw a sign their dad had hung upon the tree: "TODAY WE’RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND”!
This Everywoman’s FAMILY CIRCLE Magazine measures 11 1/4” x 8 1/2” It is in good condition with a good binding and no torn pages. It does show slight fading and wear from it age of almost 65 Years Old!
